Tax Senior Analyst

Job Summary

The candidate will become a key member of a high-growth direct tax team where Equinix’s investment in the xScale joint venture business is expected to scale with rising demand for AI driven solutions by technology companies. This position will report into the Senior Manager, xScale Direct tax.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation, filing, and payment of corporate income taxes for jurisdictions with EMEA, APAC and the Americas region

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, operations and external local tax advisors to resolve various issues in the tax return preparation process

  • Manage responses to various global tax audits, and income tax assessments

  • Prepare the quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provisioning process, including completion of tax packages, preparation of tax provision to return true-up, scrutiny of tax payables with preparation of roll-forward schedules and review of quarterly financial forecasts

  • Support the preparation of local statutory financial statements under both US GAAP and IFRS by determining tax provisions, tax-related balance sheet accounts, and preparing tax related disclosure foot notes

  • Support various ad-hoc tax projects in the region as needed and assist in their implementation

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a big 4 accounting firm and/or corporate tax function of an multinational corporation focusing on US and foreign income tax compliance and ASC740 income tax provision

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or a related field

  • A master’s degree in taxation or a relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA) preferred

  • Experience with ASC 740 preferred

  • Experience working with third-party advisors, such as tax consultants and auditors, and managing relationships with external stakeholders

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
