Job description

We are seeking a Tax Accountant to join a growing public accounting firm serving privately held businesses, business owners, and high-net-worth individuals. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional with 3–5 years of public accounting experience and a strong background in tax preparation, compliance, and planning.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local business tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and S corporations
  • Prepare complex individual income tax returns for business owners, executives, and high-net-worth clients
  • Conduct tax research and assist with planning strategies
  • Communicate directly with clients through phone, email, and virtual meetings
  • Collaborate with partners on tax planning and advisory engagements
  • Ensure timely, accurate compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
  • Assist with consulting projects and other specialized tax engagements
  • Maintain high-quality work while managing multiple client deadlines

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of public accounting experience with a primary focus on tax
  • Experience preparing business entity and complex individual tax returns
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • CPA license or CPA candidate preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Must reside in the Eastern or Central time zone
  • Candidates with more extensive experience may work fully remote; those with less experience should be willing to travel occasionally to the Allentown, PA office for training and collaboration
