Talent Acquisition Operations Specialist
Skilldlabs
Location: Mexico, Costa Rica, or Argentina (remote)
Engagement: 12-month fixed-term contract, full-time (40 hrs/week)
Reports to: Head of Talent Acquisition (client side)
About the role
Our client is a B2B software company hiring a Talent Acquisition Operations Specialist to sit inside their TA function. This is not a junior coordinator seat and it is not a management seat. It is a senior individual contributor who runs the operational backbone of hiring — and then makes it better.
The hiring manager has been clear about what has not worked before: someone transactional who executes instructions and escalates every small decision. What they want is someone who arrives with a point of view, spots what is broken, and proposes the fix. If you have run TA operations somewhere and have opinions about how scheduling, offer management, or background check processes should work, that is the point.
There is a defined growth path. Strong performance over the contract term opens the door to a full recruiter or senior talent advisor role owning end-to-end hiring.
What you’ll own
Interview and candidate coordination
- Schedule and coordinate interviews across multiple stakeholders and time zones
- Own candidate communication throughout the process, proactively
- Keep the hiring manager informed without being asked — you push status, they don’t chase you
Offer and onboarding operations
- Manage offer letter generation and release
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders through offer, background check, and pre-start
- Maintain accuracy on every document that goes out; errors here are costly
Systems, data, and reporting
- Administer and optimize the TA tech stack (ATS, scheduling platforms, assessment tools)
- Build and maintain hiring reporting and dashboards
- Surface insights from the data, not just the numbers
Process improvement
- Identify friction in candidate and hiring manager experience and lead projects to fix it
- Bring AI and automation opportunities to the team — this is an active area of interest and you will have room to run
- Challenge existing process where you think there is a better way, and bring the evidence
What we’re looking for
Required
- 7+ years in talent acquisition operations, HR operations, or recruiting coordination
- Track record of owning interview scheduling and offer processes at volume
- Hands-on experience administering an ATS and adjacent recruiting tools
- Exceptional attention to detail — this is the single most important trait for this role
- Strong written and spoken English
- Comfortable working independently with minimal direction across time zones
- Based in Mexico, Costa Rica, or Argentina, legally able to contract
What separates a strong candidate
- You have improved a process, not just run one — and you can describe what you changed and what it produced
- You bring practices from previous employers and advocate for them
- You are curious about AI in recruiting and have already experimented with it
- You are comfortable telling a hiring manager their process is inefficient, with a proposed alternative
- Experience supporting a technology or SaaS hiring function
What we Offer
- Paid online learning
- Family Leave
- Work from home
- Computer Sponsor program
- Sponsored certifications
- Generous PTO plan and local holidays paid
- Payment in USD
