Job Description:
This WLED section is responsible for all aspects of reliability, maintainability and sustainability of specific fielded sub systems within the Integrated Defense Systems business area.

The section’s objective is to provide technical analysis of system test data in support of the program reliability and maintainability concept, logistics support to the maintenance facilities around the world, full time on-site support at one CONUS maintenance facility, and on-site support for other facilities as-required.

In this position, the tasking includes, but is not limited to: coordinating technical support to assure Customer Satisfaction; provide back-up technical support to Customer Depots around the world when on-site technical personnel cannot resolve problems; propose changes to Depot hardware and software based upon obsolescence/upgrades/updates to factory test equipment and procedures; maintain configuration at the Depots as required by approved changes to the hardware/software associated with the system and test equipment; update, validate, and distribute Depot operational procedures as well as initiate, validate and distribute new procedures as program needs and system changes require; provide training for Depot personnel on upgraded equipment; and modify Depot equipment and software as a result of approved Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs). Work with other directorates on providing new test system solutions.

You will work with team members to provide data driven recommendations and solutions to the customer covering a wide range of technical subjects including, electrical, electromechanical, mechanical, hydraulic, energy, and test systems, as well as, associated documentation and training.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance
  • Experience with MS Office tools

Desired Skills:

  • Ability to manage multiple technical projects and customer requests in a fast paced operations environment
  • Develop and provide technical presentations to large audiences including the U.S. and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers
  • Experience National instruments LabView or LabWindows software packages, PXI, myDAQ, Compact RIO, or myRIO hardware.
  • Experience with C/C+ software programing languages
  • Experience with Autodesk inventor, digital signal processing, power electronics, FPGA, and RF Antenna
  • Experience with System assembly, disassembly and test
  • Understanding and wide application of engineering experience
  • Experience developing and troubleshooting System level Test equipment
  • Experience with Oracle databases and Sequel Queries

Required Education (including Major):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or other related engineering discipline.
