The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking an experienced and highly skilled, Journeyman-level System Administrator to join our team to support our customer, U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) in Doral, Florida. This position is contingent upon award 
 

This position will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing Enterprise Operations in alignment with ITIL best practices. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring smooth and efficient implementation of changes across USSOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES). 


Responsibilities:

  • Supports enterprise IT infrastructure operations and service support for a combatant command, ensuring compliance with regulations, cybersecurity procedures, and cyber readiness standards in support of USSOUTHCOM Enterprise Data Center (EDC) operations services 

  • Applies knowledge of DoD Information Assurance policies, including physical security, information security, and cybersecurity practices, while assisting geographically dispersed teams with technical support and security guidance 

  • Assists with the planning, testing, development, implementation, and ongoing operation of IT systems, focusing on optimizing the Enterprise Information Environment (EIE) to meet operational needs 

  • Supports the technical execution and performance of IT staff, ensuring the timely completion of mandatory training programs and assisting with team development to enhance overall capabilities 

  • Helps monitor the progress of IT projects, evaluations, and inspections, collaborating with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment with operational requirements, deadlines, and objectives 

  • Provides systems administration and training services for the Global Command and Control System-Joint (GCCS-J) Family of Programs (FOP)  

  • Provides full lifecycle IT services for Cooperative Situational Information Integration (CSII), a Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) product that enables a web-based situational awareness picture 

  • Utilizes knowledge of IT systems, including operating systems, routers, firewalls, and network infrastructure, to provide technical support and solutions for various projects and system issues 

  • Supports technical activities in specialized areas such as data handling systems, network architecture, and infrastructure management, assisting in the optimization of system performance and resilience 

  • Aids senior staff in mentoring and supporting the professional development of other IT professionals, ensuring adherence to DoD and CCMD standards, policies, and procedures 

  • Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments 


Qualifications:
Required: 

  • US Citizen with active secret level clearance 

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field 

  • 3-5 years of experience in related field 

  • One or more certifications: CompTIA Server +, Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), Certified Network Associate (CCNA) 

  • Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments while supporting multiple projects 

  • Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Experience with change management tools and ITSM platforms (ServiceNow) 


Desired:

  • Experience in a large, distributed IT enterprise 

  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and principles 

  • Experience with DoD networks

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$63,300-$129,700
