Our small engineering team is changing the way healthcare decisions are made. We’re building new products and solutions that allow patients and medical researchers to unlock the power of new datasets. Our engineering team is committed to using the best tools for the job, including React, Python, Ruby on Rails, RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch, and Semaphore CI. We need best-in-class Systems Administrators to help us build new products and scale our existing offerings to the world.

Role and Responsibilities

Work closely with the rest of the engineering team to develop, maintain, and improve our ability to quickly respond to changing company priorities without sacrificing system stability or security.

Research and recommend innovative, and, where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.

Provide occasional guidance, some of which is technical.

Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, occasionally with little advanced notice.

Qualifications

Knowledge of the fundamentals of Unix administration (Linux-specific preferred).

Candidate should be investigative and curious, always looking to find the root cause of a problem and make changes to prevent the problem’s recurrence.

General knowledge of common protocols (HTTP, DNS, SMTP). If you know how to manually send HTTP requests over telnet, you’re the kind of person we’re looking for.

IT Security or Compliance experience is a plus.

Familiarity with Google Apps or another groupware solution a plus.

    AWS knowledge is a plus.

Experience in a HIPAA or HITECH compliant environment is a plus.

Company Culture

Mission driven and passionate about making things that matter in healthcare.

Hard-working, but also respectful of personal time.

Dedicated to creating stable systems that automatically scale to meet demand.

Health, dental, and vision benefits for you, and competitive coverage for your family.

    Relocation support.

    Equity.

    Flexible work hours.
