Job description
The System Administrator will serve as the subject matter expert for all technology systems and as a help desk escalations channel. The candidate in this role will make significant contributions to our hybrid-cloud architecture and our technical strategy surrounding Baldwin's ‘cloud-first’ approach to solutions. There will also be a significant role to play in the day-to-day operations of our multi-office (100+ offices) environment.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced support functions for workstations, enterprise software and office infrastructure platforms
  • Lead in planning, implementing, and supporting systems 
  • Auditing of system accounts to ensure licensing and inventory accuracy
  • Perform advanced remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve core service and support challenges while applying best practices for documentation and change management
  • Support basic IT infrastructure, cloud, and networking
  • Monitor the remote monitoring and management system alerts and notifications, and respond accordingly through service tickets
  • Implementing updates and patches to keep systems secure.
  • Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues.
  • Managing user accounts, permissions, and security protocols.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned

 

Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Requirements

  • 5+ years technical support experience in an enterprise environment
  • 2+ years of Active Directory and Office365; must have a solid understanding of this basic relationship
  • 2+ years of creating and managing group policies
  • 1+ years of basic Windows Server management
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune/Endpoint manager is a plus
  • Basic understanding of network concepts is required (DHCP, DNS, VLANS, etc)
  • Experience with ADFS, SSO, and certificates is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills
  • Ability to make decisions with the best interest of the firm and end-users in mind
  • Demonstrate the firm’s core values, exuding behavior that is aligned with the firm’s culture
