The Opportunity:

CACI is looking for experienced, innovative, and motivated Journeyman Systems Engineer to support the mission objectives and needs of the U.S. Navy in the Washington, DC area.  The position is contingent upon award of contract.

 Responsibilities:

  • Apply the theories and principles of science and mathematics to research and develop economical solutions to technical problems

  • Review ship system design and provide support for Hull, Mechanical, & Electrical (HM&E) Training, Shipboard Training & Modeling and Simulation.

  • Provide engineering services using a digital twinning solution to enhance familiarization, training, qualification, and operation of Navy systems.

  • Provide support for computer-based trainer (CBT) to provide a flexible training environment.

  • Provide data analytical and support services to provide event reconstruction, failure analysis, and data archiving services.

  • Provide assistance in ship’s modification, modernization and production technical planning.

  • Provide analysis of impacts of technical products or systems installed.

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Must hold a Secret clearance.

  • BS in engineering or related field

  • 10+ years in Navy DoD and defense systems

  • Experience in Navy DoD, Weapon Systems, DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process, Middle Tier Acquisition process)

Desired: 

  • Master’s degree in engineering or related field

  • Professional Engineer License

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$79,400 - $162,700
