System Engineer (AIX)

Plan, deploy, upgrade, migrate, and troubleshoot DB2 system

·       Ensure proper configuration and tuning of database system

·       Ensure successful backup and disaster recovery processes for database system

·       Perform restores as needed

·       Configure automated database deployment

·       Interface with the development team to aid in design and development tasks

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

·       with at least 3+ years' administering IBM DB2 on Unix/Linux operating systems

·       Proficient in IBM AIX , Unix and Power environment

·       Fluent in DB2 programming language

·       Proficient in database design and development

·       Experience in performance tuning and optimization

·       Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·       Analytical and problem-solving skills

·       Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

·       Attention to detail and accuracy

·       Flexibility and willingness to learn and adapt
