System Administrator - IBM AIX (AL-ANC241227 010/02)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced AIX Engineer L2 to join us. The successful candidate will provide Level 2 support for IBM AIX operating systems and related technologies, ensuring the stability and performance of our client's critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 2 support for IBM AIX operating systems and related technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues on IBM AIX systems.
• Perform system administration tasks such as installation, configuration, and maintenance of AIX servers.
• Proficient in virtualization technologies such as SR-IOV, SEA, PowerVM Virtual I/O Server (VIOS), HACMP, and Spectrum Scale (GPFS).
• Monitor system performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance.
• Perform disaster recovery support and testing on IBM AIX systems.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate AIX systems into the overall IT infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to AIX systems and configurations.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to critical incidents in a timely manner.
• Identify and implement security measures to protect AIX systems from potential threats.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in AIX and related technologies.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in managing complex AIX environments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant certifications, such as IBM Certified Specialist - Power Systems or IBM Certified Advanced Technical Expert - Power Systems, are a plus.
