Skills:

· create and configure databases

· backup and restore operations

· troubleshooting and resolve database issues

· isql skills for database administration tasks

· update and upgrade Sybase ASE servers

· ability to detect and resolve performance issues (CPU, Memory, I/O) and database integrity issues

· database monitoring

· Sybase Replication Server experience ( for Disaster Recovery )

· Basic knowledge in AIX and LINUX

· Sybase ASE backups on TSM experience is a plus
