About the Position…

A Switchboard Designer is recognized as having a strong understanding of Autodesk Fusion 360 and other design software used in the manufacturing industry—including, but not limited to, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other CAD/CAM tools. This role requires proven proficiency in 3D parametric modeling, product development, and manufacturing design workflows, with the ability to translate designs into fabrication-ready models and technical documentation.

Position Details / Responsibilities…

  • Develop detailed electrical design drawings for low-voltage switchboards, controls, junction boxes, troughs, and bussed troughways.
  • Use Autodesk Fusion 360 to create, modify, and manage 3D models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings.
  • Develop and optimize parametric designs for manufacturability, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to transition designs into production, including prototyping, testing, and fabrication support.
  • Apply Fusion 360’s simulation and CAM tools to validate designs, optimize performance, and generate toolpaths.
  • Produce technical documentation, including drawings and BOMs, to support manufacturing workflows.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in product design, cost reduction, and process efficiency.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, and operations) to ensure designs meet safety, compliance, and quality standards.

Here’s What We’re Looking For…

  • A motivated design and modeling specialist who takes the time to do things right and focuses on what’s important in an ever-changing environment.
  • At least two years of proven experience with Autodesk Fusion 360 and manufacturing design.
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing design workflows, including parametric modeling, digital prototyping, and preparing models for fabrication.
  • Additional experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other CAD tools is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Candidates must be fluent in written and spoken English, as this role may require communication with international teams.
  • Possession of a current U.S. visa and the ability to travel internationally as needed.
  • Someone who demonstrates and upholds all company core values, which include integrity, accountability, teamwork, innovation, and growth.
