The company offers the opportunity to those who wish to express interest in the position of “Surveyor OP/UG | Τοπογράφος Ανοιχτής Εξόρυξης/Υπογείων, for its premises in Chalkidiki. The position will be reported to the Senior Survey Engineer of the Technical Services department in Skouries.

Main Responsibilities:

·        Conduct detailed surveys of open pit and underground mine areas.

·        Use advanced surveying tools and technology to collect data accurately.

·        Interpret survey data and produce clear reports for engineering and planning teams.

·        Collaborate with geologists and engineers to support mine planning and operations.

·        Monitor site conditions and recommend improvements in surveying procedures.

·        Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures during surveying activities.

·        Update and maintain survey records and databases for accuracy and accessibility.

·        Measuring total volume of material moved and UG excavations.

·        Installing lines and grades in development ends and stopes.

·        Pegging out areas to be mined; measuring quantities of material blasted.

·        Surveying mine configuration and locating blast and exploration drill holes.

·        Execute surface survey work, surface and underground stockpile surveys.

·        Train assistants and helpers, and direct their work in such activities as performing surveys or drafting maps.

·        Adjust surveying instruments to maintain their accuracy.

·        Leading the survey team underground and on surface.

·        All headings will be advanced under survey control and no drilling or blasting shall take place without reference lines for grade and direction. Survey stations will be installed to required specifications.

Requirements:

·        Degree in Surveying Engineering or a related field from a higher education institution, with a minimum 2-year Survey Engineering program required. Α 3-year program degree is preferred.

·        At least 3 years of proven experience in surveying, specifically in open pit and underground mining environments.

·        Proficiency in using surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and laser scanning.

·        Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.

·        Knowledge of relevant mining regulations and safety standards.

·        Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.

·        Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
