Job description

We are a healthcare provider that specialises in personalised care for people with brain injuries. We are looking for additional 24h Support Workers in the Hedge End area. If you are reliable, empathetic, patient and have good communication skills we want to hear from you.

We have 24h hour shifts (with a sleep night) on Tuesdays and alternate Saturdays. We also have Wednesdays from 9am to 2pm as this is the time when the client goes horse-riding and requires additional support.The rate of pay ranges from £9.00 to £11.70 per hour. We also pay any personal protection equipment you may need.

We offer all our support workers a free enhanced DBS check, 25 days of paid annual holiday, and a pension scheme. You will have 24/7 contact with the office staff including managers and coordinators through our On-Call system, as well as regular supervisions and appraisals. We are a very receptive team with an open-door policy, and our aim is to ensure that you feel safe and happy doing your job. We will also provide you with extensive paid training, accredited Care Certificate, as well as specialist nurse led approach for clinical needs. We are also offering a £250.00 joining bonus for any successful applicants (terms and conditions apply).

About the Client

You will be working as part of the team that supports a young man who lives alone in the area of Hedge End. He has a diagnosis of cerebral palsy, and has mobility restrictions, therefore you will be helping with all aspects of personal care. The team is working hard on his rehabilitation which you will support. He goes out horse riding on a weekly basis so a keen interest in animals would be beneficial.

The right candidate must be passionate, adaptable and perceptive to work closely with this man and help her maintain her independence at home. Due to her mobility restrictions, successful candidates must be able to drive.
