About the opportunity

In this role, you support QIAGEN’s global supply chain by ensuring the smooth and timely ordering of materials across international suppliers and internal stakeholders. You take ownership of purchase order creation and follow-up in SAP, actively monitor product availability, and contribute to reliable on-time shipment performance. Through close collaboration with planning, logistics, finance, and external partners, you help maintain high service levels while continuously improving processes and documentation. This position offers hands-on exposure to global operations and cross-functional teamwork in a dynamic, international environment.

Your tasks include
  • Creating, maintaining, and closing purchase orders in SAP in line with internal requirements and timelines
  • Monitoring and adjusting material availability dates to ensure supply continuity
  • Coordinating with suppliers on shipping dates, quantities, and delivery locations
  • Checking completeness and accuracy of order-related documentation
  • Tracking process performance and on-time shipment (OTS) of ordered goods
  • Maintaining and updating process documentation to support standardization and transparency
  • Collaborating closely with planning, logistics, and finance teams, and contributing to assigned projects
Your profile
  • Educational background in logistics, foreign trade, economics, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in material ordering, planning, supply chain, procurement, or a similar area
  • Very good English skills; German language skills are a plus
  • Practical experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP
  • Structured, detail-oriented working style with strong communication skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders in an international setting
