Job description
We are supporting a fast-growing, venture-backed hardware-focused company as they hire their first Supply Chain Partnership Development professional. This is a high-impact, build-from-scratch role responsible for establishing and scaling the company’s supplier, OEM/ODM, and outsourced manufacturing network.
Unlike a traditional supply chain execution role, this position sits at the intersection of partnership strategy, commercial negotiation, and scalable operations. You will identify and secure strategic manufacturing and supply chain partners to support the company’s next stage of growth.
What You Will Do
- Lead business development initiatives related to supply chain and manufacturing partnerships
- Source, engage, and negotiate with OEM / ODM / strategic suppliers
- Build and expand an outsourced manufacturing and partner ecosystem
- Develop commercial partnership strategy for hardware manufacturing (structure, terms, collaboration models)
- Drive improvements across cost, quality, and scalability within the supply chain operation
- Partner closely with Engineering and Finance to align on product requirements, cost structure, and business model assumptions
- Build long-term supplier relationship strategies (beyond one-off purchasing)
- Expand cross-border manufacturing and sourcing networks (Asia and/or global)
What You Will Need
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, sourcing, or manufacturing, with a strong commercial / business-oriented focus
- Solid understanding of hardware manufacturing supply chain ecosystems
- Hands-on experience negotiating OEM/ODM and outsourced manufacturing engagements
- Strong business acumen with proven negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to identify, evaluate, and pursue partnership opportunities within the supply chain ecosystem
- Fluent in English and Chinese (spoken and written)
Why This Role
- Be the first in this function and shape the partnership and manufacturing strategy from day one
- High ownership, direct influence on product scale-up and business outcomes
- Work cross-functionally with core teams (Engineering/Finance) to build a scalable foundation
