Acutronic is looking for a Supply Chain Management Intern to join our team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and data analysis. Our ideal candidate will be motivated, detail oriented, and currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management.

Supply Chain Management Intern

Your Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Procurement:
    • Review and expedite purchase orders, prioritizing based on production demands and lead times
    • Update due dates, promise dates, and report out changes
  • Supply Chain Coordination:
    • Assist with supply chain coordination activities with engineering, program management, and operations
    • Participate in necessary meetings, identify and develop performance reports for review with the team
  • Inventory & Warehouse Management:
    • Conduct routine cycle counts and reconcile any discrepancies, documenting variances
    • Analyze and report on inventory levels, including slow-moving and excess stock, using ERP systems or other databases
    • Assist in developing an implementing inventory optimization strategies
    • Assist in kitting, material transactions, and shipping activities
  • Process and KPI Improvement
    • Collect and Analyze data to identify areas of improvement in processes and key metrics

Your Profile/Qualifications/Skills:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with supply chain software is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
