Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) – Automotive

Join our Quality team in a fast-growing eMobility environment. In this role, you will be responsible for supplier component quality in global automotive projects (including OEMs), with a real impact on quality performance and supply chain development.

Job Purpose

Ensure supplier quality performance by driving effective problem resolution, continuous improvement, and robust supplier development processes. Act as a key interface between suppliers and internal stakeholders to secure high-quality standards and support smooth product launches.

🔹 Your Responsibilities

  • Manage supplier quality (Supplier Quality Assurance – SQA) in automotive projects
  • Analyze and solve quality issues using 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa methodologies
  • Coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) at suppliers
  • Conduct supplier audits
  • Evaluate and develop suppliers (Supplier Development)
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, Production, and global suppliers
  • Support new product launches (APQP, PPAP, component implementation)
  • Manage supplier changes (Supplier Change Management)
  • Monitor quality KPIs (PPM, complaints, KPIs)

🔹Our Requirements

Must-have:

  • Technical degree (preferred: electronics, mechanics, mechatronics)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as:
    • Supplier Quality Engineer / SQE / SQA, or
    • in supplier or production quality within automotive
  • Knowledge of quality tools: 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa
  • Familiarity with standards: IATF 16949, ISO 9001
  • Experience working with suppliers and solving quality issues
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP processes
  • English at a communicative level (min. B2)

Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in an international environment
  • Independence and sense of responsibility

🔹 Nice to Have

  • Experience in electronics / PCB / electronic components
  • Knowledge of measurement methods and ability to read technical drawings
  • Experience in supplier audits
  • Knowledge of VDA 6.3 is an advantage
