‘Where you will drive value:’
The Workforce Planning Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring the continuity of manufacturing operations by combining production team supervision with workforce planning responsibilities. This individual is primarily responsible for covering production supervisor absences across various shifts while contributing to scheduling, payroll administration, and the application of the collective agreement to support operational objectives.
- Provide coverage for Production Supervisors on day, evening, night, and weekend shifts to ensure operational continuity.
- Supervise daily production activities, engage and motivate employees, and ensure the achievement of safety, quality, productivity, and food safety objectives.
- Support workforce planning activities, coordinate absence replacements, and manage overtime call-ins in compliance with the collective agreement.
- Prepare and manage employee work schedules while supporting workforce planning requirements based on operational needs.
- Coordinate payroll validation and processing activities, including reviewing worked hours and UKG data accuracy prior to payroll submission.
- Administer various HR and operational activities, including CNESST files, employee onboarding and offboarding processes, and the management of work uniforms and protective clothing.
- Apply and enforce the collective agreement, company policies, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Coach, develop, and support employees while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Actively participate in plant committees and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement operational improvements.
- Promote a safe work environment by enforcing health and safety policies and taking prompt action to address potential hazards and risks.
‘What will enable you to have an impact:’
- College diploma or university degree in Operations Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in manufacturing operations supervision or management.
- Experience in a unionized environment is considered an asset.
- Experience in the food manufacturing industry is considered an asset.
