Job description

CW IV - Superintendent oversees the completion of jobs assigned. CW IV - Superintendent is a key to successful operation on the job site, working closely with all team members to complete the projects.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Ability and willingness to assist crew members with all tasks.
  • Keep the project site clean and appearance professional daily.
  • Prepare site for appropriate work tasks.
  • Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others.
  • Maintain equipment and tools, keeping in good condition with all safety guards and features in place when in operation.
  • Convey site needs with Field Operations Manager, Shop Coordinator, and Project Manager.
  • Manage and supervisor employees on job site.
  • Shoot and layout grade elevations.
  • Proficiently read construction documents (plans, specifications, shop drawings, etc.)
  • Manage, coordinate, and schedule subcontractor labor.
  • Maintain jobsite paperwork (daily report, RFI, as-builts, photos, etc.)
  • Run Profitable job.
  • Coordination/Communication with owners and project manager.
  • Manage and oversee construction activity.
  • Calculate material and elevation of job sites.
  • Ability to markup drawings with updates for construction use.
  • Accurately complete daily work hours in timekeeping system. This includes using appropriate job numbers, work codes, and equipment allocations.
  • Coach and assist employees in their career development to build skill levels within their position.
  • Assist in providing constructive performance feedback on crew members.

Safety

  • Work with Safety Manager to investigate damage, incidents or near missed in the worksite, and ensure proper procedures are carried out according to the Company’s Safety Program.
  • Attend and participate in all required safety training and toolbox talks.
  • Promote, execute, and adhere to the Company’s safety program (particularly the use of hardhats, safety glasses, and work boots and encourage all employees to adopt safety as a culture.
  • Identify location of first aid kits, fire extinguisher, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), egress route, and emergency information when reporting to a jobsite.
  • Demonstrate a safety presence, lead by example.

  • Working knowledge of equipment operations.

Qualifications (Including Education and Experience)

  • High School Diploma and/or GED, preferred
  • Valid Driver's License, required
  • Ability to travel between job sites throughout the day, preferred
  • Willingness to travel.
  • 5+ years of Functional Experience (Related Experience), required.
  • Current Commercial Driver's License or ability to obtain, preferred
  • Ability to speak and understand English, required.
  • Maintain Basic Hand Tools
  • Successfully completed single jobs $1 Million to $5 Million.
