Job Summary
Immaculate Conception School (ICOM) is seeking a dependable and hardworking Summer Maintenance Worker to assist with preparing our school building and grounds for the upcoming academic year. This position plays an important role in supporting the mission of our Catholic school by helping ensure that our facilities are clean, organized, safe, and welcoming for students, families, faculty, and staff.
The Summer Maintenance Worker will assist with a variety of custodial, organizational, and maintenance tasks, including classroom setup, deep cleaning, furniture moving, and facility improvement projects. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently while demonstrating a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with moving, arranging, and setting up classroom, office, and school furniture.
- Deep clean classrooms, hallways, offices, restrooms, and common areas in preparation for the new school year.
- Organize storage rooms, supplies, equipment, and educational materials.
- Help prepare classrooms and learning environments for students and teachers.
- Assist with minor maintenance, painting, repairs, and facility improvement projects.
- Support the setup and breakdown of equipment, furnishings, and materials as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Follow all school safety procedures and guidelines.
- Demonstrate professionalism and respect when interacting with faculty, staff, parish members, and visitors.
- Support the mission and values of Catholic education.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Facilities Supervisor.

- Previous custodial, maintenance, landscaping, or general labor experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and move items weighing 25–50 pounds.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting for extended periods.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions as needed.
