Job Summary
St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic School is seeking a caring, energetic, and responsible Summer Camp Aide to support students in our summer camp program. The Summer Camp Aide helps create a safe, engaging, and faith‑filled environment where students can grow socially, emotionally, and spiritually while enjoying structured summer activities.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and actively engage with students during summer camp hours
- Assist with daily activities including games, crafts, outdoor play, and organized events
- Support snack and lunch times while ensuring student safety and appropriate behavior
- Monitor students at all times to ensure a safe and secure environment
- Uphold and model Catholic values in interactions with students, staff, and families
- Assist camp leaders and coordinators with activity setup and cleanup
- Help maintain clean, organized, and welcoming camp spaces
- Communicate effectively with camp staff regarding student needs or concerns
- Follow all school policies, procedures, and safety protocols, including emergency procedures
Job Requirements
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work well with children in a group setting
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Warm, patient, and positive interactions with students
- Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education
Preferred:
- Experience working with children in a school, camp, or childcare setting
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Practicing Catholic preferred, but not required
