Subrogation Supervisor

$63,273 - $78,447 / year starting salary

Job Level: Supervisor

Shelter maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in geographic location, education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands.  Please remember that this range is the starting base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. 

What You Will Be Doing:

Coordinate and supervise work of personnel involved in subrogation claims. Monitor and review claims files processed by supervised personnel to ensure proper handling in accordance with policy provisions, established procedures and legal obligations of the Companies. Make decisions to assign claims and oversees processing of the claim. Assist with selection and training and responsible for continuing development of personnel directly supervised. Maintain current knowledge and understanding of policy provisions and state laws governing claims handling procedures.

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

• Superior organizational skills

• Ability to quickly analyze, comprehend, and interpret data, reports, and laws

• Background in general insurance at an administrative level, demonstrating decision-making skills and the ability to lead and direct others is a plus

• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation
