Job description

The Student Program Development Specialist is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with local and national universities to coordinate students at Ozark Center.  Primarily, the Student Program Development Specialist is responsible for igniting student interest in completing a training rotation through Ozark Center, developing an effective and practical plan for students to smoothly transition into a rotation at Ozark Center, track their progress toward their academic goals and successfully recruit for employment those students who demonstrate strong clinical acumen. The position will provide all of these services with the understanding that students will ultimately interact with clients who have been impacted by trauma.  Therefore, a focus will be placed on trauma and its impact on each client addressed.  Further, this position will embody an empathic, hopeful, integrated approach, including those with co-occurring disorders. The Student Program Development Specialist will report to the Manager of Human Resources.

Education: High School diploma with human resource experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience Working with students and participating in Internship program preferred. Bachelors Degree preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops strong relationships with relevant academic departments of colleges and universities.
  • Develops student interest in career training rotation through Ozark Center.
  • Develops an effective and efficient process of moving students through the process of identifying Ozark Center as a potential site to the full placement of said students within Ozark Center.
  • Develops, prepares, and maintains individualized student “placement and future plans” reports with accuracy, timeliness and according to policies.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with programs internal and external to OC.
  • Successfully navigates students through the process of recruitment.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • TB test upon hire
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, telephone, photocopier, and other office equipment as needed. 
  • Sufficient sensory-motor dexterity to complete motor skill tasks, including vision, hearing, and speech.
  • Requires prolonged sitting, frequent standing, bending, and stooping.
  • Ability to drive in adverse weather conditions.
