The Opportunity

Joining Roche’s Institute of Human Biology (IHB, https://institutehumanbiology.com), part of Roche Pharma R&D (pRED), focused on human model systems for drug discovery and personalized medicine.

In this position, you will

  • Contribute to the derivation of new methodologies for long-term tissue culture

  • Work closely with colleagues in the areas of bioengineering   

  • Design and execute experimental work and perform data analysis

  • Actively participate in scientific discussions and present your work 

Who you are

You are an ambitious student who is currently enrolled in life sciences (biology, bioengineering, biotechnology, or a related scientific field). You have a strong interest in scientific problem-solving and learning new techniques. You thrive in a dynamic, inclusive environment that gives you full accountability for your own contributions and development. 

Desired skills

  • Prior experience in mammalian cell culture

  • Experience in basic molecular and cell biology techniques, including immunostaining, histology, and confocal imaging

  • Motivation to learn and apply innovative research tools and new techniques 

  • Clear communicator and fluent in English
