The opportunity

The Financial Literacy Team is seeking a motivated and passionate student advocate to provide guidance and support to SNHU peers while promoting department initiatives on campus. This role involves helping students with their financial literacy needs, fostering a supportive environment, and creatively engaging the campus community with FinLit resources. Ideal candidates should have a strong interest in financial literacy, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the student representative of FinLit by promoting financial wellness resources and marketing Finlit services to the student body.
  • Host engaging tabling sessions multiple times a week at various campus locations, including the Student Center, Academic Center, and Webster Hall.
  • Encourage and assist students in a friendly and professional manner to book an appointment with FinLit representatives.
  • Design and produce promotional FinLit materials using graphic design tools such as Canva.
  • Develop and manage social media content to enhance the visibility and impact of FinLit’s initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in classes as part of a SNHU degree program
  • Work study part of financial aid package
  • Students with work study may be prioritized
  • Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Must have an optimistic attitude and a drive to reach goals

Work Hours

Up to 20 hours per week

$12 per hour

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $12.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
