This role involves developing social media strategies, designing visual content, and supporting cross-platform storytelling. Ideal candidates are passionate about digital media, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about enhancing the UVA Student Affairs brand.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Strategy & Content Creation
- Assist with social media content calendars to meet Student Affairs' goals.
- Create visually engaging posts & vids for social media.
- Monitor trends to adapt engaging content to students.
Graphic Design & Visual Storytelling
- Design posts, brand content, & visuals using Canva.
- Ensure content adheres to UVA’s branding guidelines.
- Maintain an organized digital library of photos, videos, and design assets in Canva.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work with students, communications staff, and partners to ensure consistent, clear, and compelling content messaging.
- Contribute ideas in content brainstorming sessions to boost student engagement.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with social media content creation as well as photography, videography, and/or graphic design.
- Proficiency in social platforms, video/audio editing, post-production, Canva.

Position Compensation: $16.75 Hourly
