Job Description:

Essentia Health is excited to expand our athletic performance services with the launch of our new retail location at Elite West Duluth. As a Strength and Conditioning Coach, you’ll play a key role in helping athletes and active individuals of all levels reach their performance goals through personalized, science-based training.

Education Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required, Exercise Science preferred

Preferred experience: past history working with youth athletes in strength and conditioning environment; personal interest in weight training; past/current athletic career (high school or college)

What you can expect:

  • Develop strength and conditioning programs for individual athletes and designated athletic groups
  • Design and supervise programs throughout the year and all athletic seasons
  • Instruct/oversee individual and group performance sessions
  • Develop and coordinate training schedules for individuals and athletic groups
  • Market athletic performance services throughout the community
  • Track progress of athletes to ensure a safe, high quality program
  • Communicate with athletes and parent/guardians on progress and future training recommendations
  • Building relationships with athletes, families, and local youth sport clubs/teams/coaches.

This is a casual/PRN role with an expected schedule of 6–20 hours per week, though this may vary as the program continues to grow. Hours of operation are 6AM - 9PM. daily. Scheduling will be managed online, allowing you to set your hours based on your availability.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

  • Preferred certifications: Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire date)
  • BLS (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire date)
