What is Stream Head of Apna Clinic?

The Stream Head of Apna Clinic will have complete end-to-end ownership of the Apna Clinic business, including strategy, P&L, product portfolio, customer growth, healthcare operations, partnerships, technology, service quality and regulatory governance.

The role will be responsible for transforming Apna Clinic into Pakistan's leading integrated digital healthcare platform across consultations, pharmacy, diagnostics, hospitals, medical procedures, wellness, payments, insurance and digital health records.

This position requires a highly commercial and entrepreneurial leader who can build a scalable healthcare ecosystem while ensuring customer trust, service reliability, clinical governance and sustainable business growth.

The role reports directly to the Head of Apna Clinic and has 2 people reporting directly into it with an extended team of 5 team members

What does Head of Apna Clinic do?

·       Own the complete Apna Clinic business strategy, annual operating plan, financial performance and long-term growth roadmap.

·       Take full ownership of revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, GMV, customer growth, transaction volumes and overall business profitability.

·       Define the strategic vision and positioning of Apna Clinic as an integrated digital healthcare ecosystem.

·       Develop and manage the healthcare portfolio across doctor consultations, pharmacy, diagnostics, hospitals, procedures, wellness, insurance and digital health records.

·       Establish clear annual and quarterly business priorities, performance targets and execution plans.

·       Drive customer acquisition, engagement, retention, repeat usage and cross-category adoption across the platform.

·       Ensure that Apna Clinic evolves from a transactional healthcare application into an everyday health and wellness companion.

·       Identify and launch new revenue streams, including subscriptions, family plans, memberships, corporate healthcare solutions, healthcare bundles and insurance-linked offerings.

·       Lead strategic partnerships with doctors, hospitals, pharmacies, laboratories, insurers, payment platforms, technology providers and healthcare networks.

·       Define the commercial model, pricing structure, commission framework and service-level expectations for all partners.

·       Own the overall product roadmap and ensure alignment between customer needs, business priorities, technology capabilities and healthcare governance.

·       Lead the development of personalized, AI-enabled and data-driven healthcare experiences.

·       Oversee the performance, scalability, reliability and security of the Apna Clinic technology platform.

·       Ensure seamless integration with JazzWorld platforms, JazzCash, FikrFree and other relevant ecosystem services.

·       Establish strong operational governance across consultations, prescription fulfilment, pharmacy delivery, diagnostic collection, report delivery and customer support.

·       Improve customer experience across all digital and partner-operated touchpoints.

·       Establish service-quality standards covering consultation availability, wait time, fulfilment, cancellation, refunds, delivery turnaround time and complaint resolution.

·       Work with clinical, legal, compliance, data-privacy and information-security teams to ensure responsible platform growth.

·       Ensure that all health-related products, communications and customer journeys comply with applicable clinical, regulatory and ethical standards.

·       Build and lead a high-performing cross-functional team across product, growth, technology, partnerships, operations, analytics and customer experience.

·       Establish business-review governance, performance scorecards and executive reporting for senior leadership.

·       Monitor market trends, competitor activity, emerging healthcare models and regulatory developments.

·       Represent Apna Clinic in strategic discussions with internal leadership, external partners, regulators and industry stakeholders.

·       Identify execution risks, resolve critical dependencies and maintain accountability across internal and external teams.

·       Create a culture of customer obsession, experimentation, accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

What are we looking for and what does it need to be Head of Apna Clinic?

·       Bachelor's or master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Digital Transformation or a related discipline. MBBS is a plus.

·       Minimum 12–15 years of professional experience in digital platforms, healthcare, technology, telecommunications, insurance, fintech or consumer marketplaces.

·       At least five years of experience in a senior leadership role with direct ownership of a business, platform, product portfolio or P&L.

·       Proven experience managing revenue, margins, budgets, business plans and commercial performance.

·       Demonstrated experience building or scaling a consumer-facing digital platform.

·       Strong understanding of digital healthcare, telemedicine, pharmacy, diagnostics, healthcare marketplaces or insurance-linked healthcare propositions.

·       Proven ability to manage complex ecosystems involving customers, technology teams, healthcare providers and commercial partners.

·       Strong product-management and digital-transformation capabilities.

·       Experience developing platform strategies, product roadmaps and new business models.

·       Strong understanding of customer acquisition, lifecycle growth, retention, customer lifetime value and marketplace economics.

·       Ability to develop strategic partnerships, negotiate commercial agreements and manage executive-level stakeholders.

·       Strong understanding of operational governance, service quality, customer experience and partner management.

·       Familiarity with healthcare regulations, customer consent, data privacy, clinical governance and information security.

·       Strong understanding of artificial intelligence, personalization, product analytics and emerging digital-health technologies.

·       Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation and executive decision-making capabilities.

·       Strong analytical and financial-management skills.

·       Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, complex and evolving organizational environment.
