Job description

At Rhoda AI, we’re building the next generation of generalist intelligent robots. We own the full robotics stack from high-performance hardware and robot systems to the infrastructure and state-of-the-art foundation world models that control our robots. Our robots are designed to be generalists capable of operating in complex, real-world environments and handling long-tail edge cases, made possible by our cutting edge research and end-to-end system design. We've raised over $450M and are investing aggressively in model research, infrastructure, hardware development, and manufacturing scale-up to make generalist robotics a reality.

We are looking for a Strategic Finance Manager to help build and scale our finance function as we grow. This is a unique opportunity to shape the financial foundation of a fast-moving robotics company, hands-on and strategic, with real ownership across the full spectrum of finance from FP&A to capital markets to investor relations.

What You'll Do

Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Own and evolve Rhoda's core financial model across planning cycles, scenario analysis, and board-facing presentations

  • Build scalable FP&A processes from scratch including budget cycles, variance reporting, and forecasting cadences

  • Partner with engineering, hardware, operations, and sales leadership to bring financial rigor to strategic decisions

  • Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance scalability, forecast precision, and data visibility

  • Conduct ad hoc strategic and financial analysis to support executive decision-making on high-priority initiatives

Capital Markets and Investor Relations

  • Support capital markets activity including fundraising preparation, data room management, cap table analysis, and institutional investor diligence requests

  • Maintain and update cap table models, option pool analysis, and dilution scenarios in partnership with outside counsel

  • Support investor relations including managing LP information requests, preparing board materials, and maintaining reporting cadences with institutional investors

Commercial Finance and Revenue Infrastructure

  • Build the financial infrastructure for Rhoda's first commercial deployments including contract economics, revenue recognition frameworks, unit economics reporting, and gross margin analysis

  • Run competitive vendor procurement processes and negotiations across major spend categories including GPU infrastructure and cloud services

  • Support commercial contract review and vendor agreement negotiations alongside outside counsel

What We're Looking For

  • 2-4 years of investment banking experience at a top-tier firm

  • Startup or high-growth company experience, you are comfortable operating without a playbook and in ambiguity across multiple workstreams simultaneously

  • Exceptional financial modeling skills, you build models that are clean, flexible, and tell a story

  • Strong written and verbal communication, you can distill complex financial analysis into clear narratives for founders, institutional investors, and operational leaders

  • High ownership mentality, you identify what needs to be done and do it without waiting to be told

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets with strong command of financial modeling best practices

Nice to Have (But Not Required)

  • Experience with SQL or Business Intelligence tools such as Looker or Tableau

  • Prior exposure to capital markets, investor relations, or corporate development work

  • Intellectual curiosity about AI and robotics, you want to understand what we are building and why it matters

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field

Why This Role

  • Build the finance foundation at one of the most ambitious robotics companies in the world

  • High ownership from day one, you will touch capital markets, investor relations, commercial revenue finance, infrastructure procurement, and strategic FP&A within your first year

  • Work directly with the Head of Strategic Finance and have direct impact on company trajectory and financial story

  • Meaningful early stage equity reflecting the stage and trajectory of the company

Compensation (from employer):
$170K – $215K • Offers Equity
