Position Overview

    Local to NoVA/DC | GPN Program Office – Task Order 10 | Full-time | Hybrid

    SteerBridge is seeking a Strategic Communications Specialist to support the Governance Section of the GPN Program Office. This role translates complex GPN logistics initiatives into professional visual and written narratives for senior military and civilian decision-makers, leading communication tasks and developing strategic communications products.

Key Responsibilities

    • Design and produce high-quality executive briefing slides, background papers, and talking points for senior military and civilian leadership.
    • Prepare and coordinate material packages for senior GPN governance boards and executive steering councils, ensuring consistent messaging.
    • Draft strategic communications plans and stakeholder information packets to convey GPN capability updates across the Joint Logistics Enterprise (JLEnt).
    • Lead communication tasks and meet regularly with the client to discuss initiatives and establish priorities.
    • If designated as dual-hat Program Manager for Task 3.1, oversee overall contract performance for the task order.

Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree.
    • 8+ years of related experience in strategic communications, public affairs, or executive-level briefing/communications support.
    • 3+ years of experience as a project lead developing strategic communications plans at a DoW Service/Headquarters level, including coordinating and leading teams to implement communication plans and produce communications products.
    • Active Secret-level security clearance.
    • U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Prior experience serving as a Program Manager or in a dual-hat PM/communications capacity on a DoW task order.
    • Familiarity with USMC Force Design, GPN logistics initiatives, or Joint logistics processes.

Location & Travel

    Local to the Northern Virginia/DC metro area. This task order anticipates approximately 9 required trips per year across the team (3 East Coast, 2 West Coast, 4 OCONUS). Specific travel is not pre-assigned by position; all Key Personnel should expect the potential to be tasked with travel as mission needs require.

Period of Performance

    Base year plus four (4) 12-month option years (5-year total period of performance). Option-year rates carry a standard 3% annual escalation.
