Job Title: Temporary Summer Store Floater 

Reports To: Store Managers

Status: Full-Time / Hourly / Temporary 

Pay: Starting at $19.67/hour

Duration: Summer seasonal position 

Schedule: Schedule will vary based on operational needs, posted two weeks in advance


POSITION OVERVIEW

We are hiring a Temporary Summer Store Floater to support front-end and general store operations during the busy summer months. This flexible role helps cover vacations and call-outs and may work in different areas day-to-day based on operational needs.


Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Customer Service & Front-End Support

  • Provide friendly, responsive customer service throughout the store
  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently
  • Process cash, credit/debit, and other forms of payment
  • Bag groceries carefully to protect product quality
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area

Stocking & Store Operations

  • Stock, face, and rotate products to maintain organized, well-merchandised displays
  • Assist customers with questions and locating products
  • Perform general store upkeep and restocking tasks

General Duties

  • Follow all workplace safety procedures
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Adapt quickly to changing assignments and department needs
  • Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Work collaboratively to support efficient store operations

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support grocery, produce, wellness, and front-end operations as needed
  • Assist with basic merchandising and store presentation



QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to work a varied and flexible schedule
  • Reliable attendance and strong dependability
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be 18 years old minimum


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing 40–50 lbs regularly
  • Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and kneeling
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks (stocking, bagging, cashiering)
