This role offers the opportunity to design, build, and operate enterprise-scale storage environments supporting critical business workloads.
The successful candidate will work across modern storage technologies, including block, file, and object storage platforms.
This position plays a key role in ensuring performance, reliability, security, and scalability across complex infrastructure environments.
You will collaborate with engineering teams to support virtualization, cloud, database, and Kubernetes platforms.
The role requires strong technical ownership, automation expertise, and the ability to solve challenging infrastructure problems.

Accountabilities:
- Design, deploy, and operate enterprise storage platforms including NetApp ONTAP, Pure Storage FlashArray/FlashBlade, and Ceph.
- Manage SAN, NAS, and object storage solutions across data center, edge, and cloud environments.
- Build and support storage architectures for VMware, Kubernetes environments, and database workloads.
- Develop and maintain replication, snapshot, backup, and data protection strategies for critical systems.
- Implement cloud-tiered storage solutions using technologies such as FabricPool, CloudVolumes, or similar platforms.
- Automate storage operations using Ansible, Terraform, REST APIs, and native platform automation tools.
- Operate and optimize Ceph environments, including OSD lifecycle management, CRUSH maps, RGW, RBD, and CephFS.
- Monitor and improve storage performance for high-throughput and latency-sensitive applications.
- Implement ransomware protection strategies, immutable snapshots, and resilient data recovery solutions.
- Build storage observability capabilities to monitor capacity, health, performance, and operational risks.
- Lead storage upgrades, firmware lifecycle activities, and security patching while minimizing service disruption.
- Optimize storage costs through deduplication, compression, tiering, and resource utilization improvements.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across storage arrays, networks, operating systems, and application layers.
- Evaluate emerging storage technologies and recommend improvements based on business and engineering needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise storage environments.
- Deep expertise with NetApp ONTAP and/or Pure Storage FlashArray/FlashBlade platforms.
- Hands-on production experience managing Ceph storage clusters.
- Strong understanding of SAN, NAS, and object storage technologies and protocols.
- Experience integrating storage platforms with VMware and Kubernetes environments, including CSI drivers.
- Strong scripting and automation experience using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and REST APIs.
- Experience with storage performance analysis, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues across storage, networking, and host infrastructure layers.
- Strong understanding of data protection, replication, backup, and disaster recovery concepts.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize complex tasks, and support evolving infrastructure needs.
- Vendor certifications such as NCDA, NCIE, or Pure Storage certifications.
- Experience with hybrid cloud storage replication strategies.
- Familiarity with software-defined storage technologies beyond Ceph.
- Experience managing large-scale object storage environments.
- Exposure to AI/ML workloads requiring high-performance storage solutions.
- Competitive annual salary range of $100,000–$150,000, based on experience and qualifications.
