Job description

Starting Pig Specialist will work with farm staff during the nursery stage of production in wean to finish production sites.

Responsibilities & Duties:

 Train & assist farm staff during the nursery stage of production:

o Preplacement site inspections

o Initial stocking plans

o Sorting & Treating

o Mat & Gruel Feeding

 Ability to troubleshoot & adjust heating & ventilation systems.

 Assessing health issues and the ability to perform on farm diagnostics

Requirements

Requirements:

 Excellent verbal & written communication skills.

 Excellent organizational & time management skills.

 Prior swine management experience.

 Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.

 Travel – across Iowa with possible overnight stays
