Staff Specialist Windchill

The Technical Product Owner for PTC Windchill will be responsible for guiding the implementation of the PTC Windchill Product Lifecycle Management system across the organization. This individual will act as the primary liaison between architect, design and implementation teams, ensuring that the deployment meets the design specifications and aligns with the business objectives. Key responsibilities include technical solution ownership, defining and prioritizing the product backlog, communicating design specifications to the implementation team driving the development, and troubleshooting technical issues that may arise during the deployment process. The Technical Product Owner will collaborate closely with solution architects and developers, utilizing their deep understanding of PTC Windchill and related technologies, to oversee the project's progress and make crucial decisions impacting the implementation. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge and leadership abilities. The Technical Product Owner will manage and guide the implementation team, which includes remote and cross-functional members. They will ensure an efficient workflow and foster team collaboration by guiding the team through established Agile and Scrum methodologies, negotiating project priorities, and resolving conflicts.

Job Description
In your new role you will:

• System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain the Windchill system, including servers, databases, and applications. Ensure system backups, upgrades, and patches are performed regularly.
• User Management: Create, manage, and maintain user accounts, roles, and permissions. Ensure access controls are in place to secure sensitive data and intellectual property.
• Data Management: Oversee data migration, integration, and synchronization between Windchill and other systems. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
• Workflow Management: Design, implement, and maintain business workflows, including approval processes, change management, and document control.
• Customization and Configuration: Customize and configure Windchill to meet business requirements, including development of custom scripts, reports, and interfaces.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system configuration for improved performance and scalability.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure Windchill system compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies. Implement security measures to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.
• Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users, including documentation, tutorials, and troubleshooting assistance.
• Reporting and Analytics: Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics to provide insights into product development, quality, and performance.
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and manufacturing, to ensure Windchill aligns with business objectives.

Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on system reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Proficiency in PTC Windchill, Java, SQL, and scripting languages(e.g., Python, JavaScript).
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems, networking protocols, and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of monitoring and logging tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, Dynatrace or similar tools.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git.
• Experience with containerization using Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks, such as HIPAA or PCI-DSS
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
