Responsibilities

  • Drive our AI-first strategy from a technical perspective. You are expected to architect and guide the practical integration of AI into both our product and our internal development processes, setting the technical direction.
  • Address deep technical problems inherent in a large-scale, enterprise-grade migration service. Make critical architectural and technological decisions to ensure long-term scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Influence the success of major enterprise cloud adoptions, making a tangible and visible impact on Google Cloud's growth and our customers' cloud journeys.
  • Shape the technical goal and future of a key product by combining your deep engineering expertise with your goal for what's possible with modern cloud and AI technologies.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience building enterprise grade software including design, implementation (e.g., backend) and testing.
  • Experience with technologies related to enterprise applications, including virtualization, storage, networking, etc.
  • Experience with coding in one or more languages such as Python, Scala, Java, Go, or similar with data structures and algorithms, and software design.
  • Experience working with cloud services and solutions (e.g., Google Cloud Platform (GCP)) and contributing to the design of systems running on these platforms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with migrating or modernizing enterprise applications.
  • Experience with Application Programming Interface (API) design and integration.
  • Solid understanding of Enterprise customer needs and experience working on enterprise-grade software.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
