Job description
You will work as a Staff Engineer in our Automotive Microcontroller Development Team as part of the Chip-level Architecture group. You will join a team of Concept Engineers and contribute to leading-edge development of chip-infrastructure related architectural blocks. You will be involved in the realization throughout all development stages.

In your new role you will:
  • Work on microarchitecture design definition for complex functional blocks in automotive microcontrollers with covering digital and analog IPs inside with a focus on chip-level infrastructure functionality covering IOs, pad frame and adjacent IPs
  • Take care of design and integration execution of an agreed architectural block
  • Be the primary technical contact for all internal stakeholders such as analog and digital development groups and project management teams
  • Break down product requirements to hardware and software requirements and define solution concepts
  • Create and maintain technical documentation with following internal documentation standards to guarantee the ISO 26262 compliance
  • Plan and monitor your work by following an agile working style
  • Contribute to Concept and Design reviews for Analog Circuits being developed
  • Ensure Functional Safety compliance for all IP Developments


You are a team player capable of communicating within cross-functional teams. You have the passion to apply your new ideas and learnings, and you’re continuously looking for self-improvement and innovation.

You are best equipped for those tasks if you have:
  • A Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field
  • At least 3+ years of industry experience
  • Good knowledge about Microcontroller and chip development
  • Good knowledge of Analog Circuit Design Basics
  • Experience in Digital IC design with (System)Verilog and micro-architecture definition work
  • Basic knowledge about functional safety standards and applications e.g. ISO 26262 is a plus
  • Analytical skills, pragmatic problem solving with the ability to think critically and strategically
  • Experience with writing User Manuals and defining Datasheet values beneficial
  • Willing to work in an international and cross-functional technical team within a multi-cultural environment
  • Fluent English is a must, German is a plus
