Staff Engineer Design

Understand the semiconductor development process and identify automation potential for the application of Machine Learning (ML)methodology, by conducting discussions with internal customers.

In your new role you will:

• Understand the semiconductor development process and identify automation potential for the application of Machine Learning (ML)methodology, by conducting discussions with internal customers.

• Develop Machine Learning based methodologies in cooperation with internal experts as well as with Universities.

• Implement tool-flows to enable the development engineers to make use of AI / ML in their daily work without the need to become AI experts.

• Taking care for high quality of deliverables by actively testing and validating.

• Document the implemented tools.

• Support development engineers by the first use of ML methodology.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent degree.

• Very solid knowledge of:
  • Machine Learning with hands-on experience
  • Electronic circuits, electro-mechanical systems and physics in general
• Excellent Programming skills in Matlab/Simulink, Python, C, C++,Java, Java script.

• Independent working style and at the same time as a team player have the ability to work on quite different tasks within the scope of artificial intelligence.

• Ability to discuss efficiently and understand the needs of our customers, who have quite diverse scientific backgrounds and work in different functions (designers, verification engineers, application engineers, technology developers, etc.)

• Be a very fast learner in the emerging fields of AI-based digitalization and automation

• Very good command of English language (German is also appreciated).
