Staff Engineer Applications

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Functional Safety Applications Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our R&D team, you will leverage your strong background in embedded systems and microcontrollers to develop and implement Functional Safety (Class B / SIL) applications for our industrial microcontrollers. Your expertise will be crucial in collaborating with our hardware and software R&D teams to design, develop, and deploy FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), FMEDA (Failure Mode and Effects and Diagnostic Analysis), and FTA (Fault Tree Analysis) tools and libraries. Additionally, you will work closely with safety certification companies to ensure that our industrial microcontrollers meet the required safety certification and compliance standards. Job Description
In your new role you will:

• Develop and implement Functional Safety (Class B / SIL) applications for industrial microcontrollers
• Collaborate with hardware and software R&D teams to design, develop, and deploy FMEA, FMEDA, and FTA tools and libraries.
• Work with safety certification companies to achieve safety certification and compliance for Infineon industrial microcontrollers.
• Provide technical expertise and support to cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution

Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical &Electronics, or a related field is required.
• The ideal candidate will have 6-7 years of professional experience in embedded software development on microcontrollers, including expertise in functional safety hardware and software development.
• Experience with functional safety standards, including IEC 60730 Class B and IEC 61508 SI. Strong knowledge of ARM 32-bit Cortex-M series based microcontrollers and embedded software development tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and geographical locations
