Job description

The São Paulo office is looking for a full-time Staff Attorney. Candidates should have a Brazilian law degree; ideal graduation years between 2022- 2026. No LL.M candidates accepted for this role. Candidates should be trilingual (English, Portuguese, and Spanish). In-person office attendance is expected 4 times a week. Note, the new hire will be paid in BRL.

Key Responsibilities and Challenges

Technical

  • Taking initial instructions internally or externally, delegating to trainees where appropriate
  • Research, due diligence, and information management
  • Drafting and reviewing documentation, demonstrating familiarity with precedents and market standards

Client Relationship Management

  • Advising the client under appropriate supervision
  • Participating in calls and meetings when requested
  • Demonstrating thorough market knowledge to identify current trends and concerns in relevant industry sectors. Able to present ideas to resolve current issues and anticipate potential problems

Management

  • Debriefing at the end of a matter or at other appropriate stages
  • Effective organization of documentation and project plans
  • Coordinating with Business Teams and managing supplies and providers when needed.

Business Development

  • Networking to capitalize on new business opportunities.
  • Contributing to quality know-how and transaction bibles and their upkeep

Training

  • Coaching less experienced colleagues
  • Regularly giving and seeking clear performance feedback to/from others

  • You will have a broad range of experience and a keen interest in transactional practices.
