The Staff Accountant position requires candidates capable of fulfilling a broad range of duties and responsibilities, such as helping small businesses maintain accounting best practices. 

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Planning, implementing and supervising the company’s financial strategy
  • Managing the company’s financial accounts, payroll, budget, cash receipts and financial assets
  • Handling the company’s transactions and debts and doing cash flow forecasting
  • Performing the company’s financial audits
  • Following proper accounting procedures to reach financial objectives
  • Monitoring and analyzing financial accounting data
  • Creating financial reports based on data analysis

Skills

  • Great interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles, standards and regulations
  • Experience with accounting software and databases
  • Superior data management and data analysis skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy
  • Work experience as an Accounting Manager or Finance Manager, preferably 2 or more years
