Job Summary:

Super Micro Computer, Inc. is currently seeking a Sr. Web Application Engineer who has both outstanding coding skills and a strong understanding of how to create a great online product configurator. Candidates must be strong in BOTH coding and UX. As a Senior Engineer, you will play an integral role in defining and bringing to life the user interfaces created by the user experience and design teams for hybrid, mobile and web.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and implement changes and enhancements on e-commerce platforms.
• Perform a mix of back-end and front-end development on new and existing sites.
• Deploy code across development, staging and production environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs found in existing site.
• Document and publish requirement, design and functional specifications for user by internal teams

Qualifications:

• 5+ years professional experience as a web application engineer
• Experience with architectural work involving performance optimization, application caching strategies, SQL query optimization.
• Advanced understanding coding concepts and design patterns across multiple languages with a strong preference for PHP Experience and API integration
• Can create simple and clean solutions to complex problems, quickly
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
• Preferred Qualifications: ·
  • Building and maintaining e-commerce sites and related platforms.
  • Agile Development and Continuous Integration using tools such as Jenkins, Selenium, etc is plus ·
  • Monitoring and performance diagnostics to troubleshoot production systems. ·
  • Highly motivated individual with interest in enhancing skills and learning
