Job Summary
The Sr. NOA Title Specialist is responsible for projects pertaining to buybacks, title clouds, and complex title issues. This position is also responsible for preparing amended deeds due to errors or to synchronize usage.
Responsibilities
Review complex title issues and correct chain of title issues as appropriate.
Work closely with title company to determine best course of action to correct a title cloud for unique/complex title situations.
Manage and resolve escalated owner issues that involve reversal of purchase or legal action, following established procedures based on approved buyback type.
Prepare necessary documents and notify appropriate parties of requirements to rectify title clouds, complex title issues or other escalated issues.
Assist with special projects including but not limited to 1099S, Harpta, anniversary and commencement date corrections.
Work independently with limited supervision, multi-task, and maintain required goals determined by Management.
Provide weekly updates on status of projects/assignments and communicate issues timely for management metrics.
Communicate with internal and external business partners and update systems timely to minimize escalated issues
Train on topics and processes to assist other in being efficient or process improvement
Review and/or prepare legal documents including verifying the accuracy of all owner information, vesting and other items as specified in procedures and/or checklists.
Ensure all funds have been properly entered into the system or collected, including past, current, or future year maintenance fees, open loan amounts, if applicable, and totaled correctly.
Generate, review, and monitor reports and spreadsheets, to identify daily/weekly priorities and manage workflow.
Prepare and audit disbursement spreadsheet with each closing and provide to accounting team.
Follow all guidelines and procedures provided to ensure quality controls are being met.
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary materials and information to protect the privacy and security of company, customers, and coworkers by following company and department policies and procedures.
Perform other job duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Specific Candidate Profile
Education/Experience
High school diploma/G.E.D equivalent
Minimum of one-year related experience required.
Experience with title, banking, real estate contracts, or closing is preferred, but not required.
No supervisory experience required.
Skill & Attributes:
Adept to learn, multi-task, and retain knowledge of multiple programs and contracts in a challenging environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to effectively listen and work with coworkers through sharing processes, procedures, and training.
Self-motived requiring limited supervision with demonstrated decision making ability.
Proficient in internal business software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong time management skills.
Move, lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 5-15 pounds without assistance.
