Role Overview
This role is an opportunity for an experienced infrastructure professional who wants to combine strong hands-on technical knowledge with global project ownership and business-facing leadership. You will work on complex network and facilities infrastructure initiatives across manufacturing, office, laboratory, campus, and data center environments, supporting critical healthcare operations at a global scale. The position is well suited for someone who has grown from engineering or implementation roles and is ready to take broader responsibility for technical planning, stakeholder alignment, vendor coordination, risk management, and delivery outcomes. You will translate business and site requirements into practical infrastructure solutions, challenge designs where needed, and communicate clearly with engineering teams, vendors, local IT, site leadership, and business stakeholders. This is a challenging career opportunity for candidates who want international exposure, visible impact, and the ability to shape reliable infrastructure foundations for a global enterprise.
What will you do in this role:
Lead technical planning for global network and facilities infrastructure projects across manufacturing, office, campus, laboratory, and data center environments.
Translate business, facilities, and site requirements into practical infrastructure solutions covering LAN, WAN, wireless, voice, video, structured cabling, telecom rooms, perimeter connectivity, BAS/SFN, MES, and related network services.
Own the technical planning lifecycle from early demand analysis, site assessment, scope definition, budget estimate, bill of materials, design coordination, implementation planning, change readiness, handover, and closure.
Work hands-on with engineers, architects, facilities teams, vendors, local IT, implementation partners, and business stakeholders to validate designs, resolve constraints, manage dependencies, and keep delivery aligned with global standards.
Act as the primary technical point of contact for assigned sites or projects, providing clear communication, realistic timelines, risk visibility, decision support, and escalation management throughout the project lifecycle.
Drive infrastructure planning for modernization, lifecycle refresh, site expansion, office moves, manufacturing integrations, network standardization, and complex multi-technology delivery programs.
Ensure project documentation, network designs, implementation plans, change records, asset information, and operational handover materials are complete, accurate, and maintained in the appropriate systems of record.
Qualifications:
Senior-level hands-on experience in enterprise network infrastructure planning, design, engineering, implementation, or technical project delivery.
Proven track record delivering infrastructure planning projects such as manufacturing site integrations, campus or office builds, network modernization, hardware lifecycle refresh, structured cabling programs, telecom room builds, or large-scale wireless/LAN/WAN deployments.
Strong technical background across LAN, WAN, WLAN, routing and switching, network security/perimeter connectivity, structured cabling, telecom spaces, remote connectivity, and infrastructure services supporting business-critical environments.
Ability to convert ambiguous business or facilities requirements into clear technical scope, solution options, cost estimates, delivery plans, dependencies, risks, and implementation-ready documentation.
Experience working directly with facilities engineering, construction teams, architects, vendors, local IT, network product teams, and business stakeholders in complex matrix organizations.
Demonstrated capability to prepare or review bills of materials, network diagrams, cabling designs, wireless coverage assumptions, telecom room requirements, implementation plans, test plans, and change documentation.
Strong project ownership skills, including realistic planning, dependency management, financial awareness, vendor coordination, stakeholder communication, issue resolution, and disciplined project closure.
Experience with regulated, manufacturing, laboratory, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other business-critical environments is highly desirable.
Knowledge of manufacturing and process network environments such as shop-floor networks, MES, BAS, OT-adjacent connectivity, or validated infrastructure environments is an advantage.
Familiarity with ServiceNow, CMDB discipline, Jira or similar project tracking tools, change management processes, asset lifecycle processes, and operational handover expectations is preferred.
Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical decisions, trade-offs, risks, and project status clearly to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience. Relevant certifications such as CCNP, BICSI RCDD, PMP, PRINCE2, or ITIL are desirable.
