o Help to stand up distributed systems

o Scala, Spark, Hadoop

o Machine learning algorithms

o Big Data Tool kits

o No specifically focused in Java- Don’t have to have Java

§ Understanding of multiple programming languages

o Understanding how to develop in multi-core distributed system environment

o HTTP, TCP/IP- networking understanding, clusters, distributed

o Good communicator, will be building Tools used by large audiences

o Transform features from data sources

o Integrating data from across systems

o Coffee, API’s

o No SQL databases- redis, hbase

o Understand programming and scripting skills- scala, spark
