Job description
Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software to enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs. Code may be used in commercial, end-user applications and internal tools that improve efficiencies that supporting our diverse industry segments and clients. Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. As you advance in your career the expectation is individuals become thought leaders and communicate those ideas.

As a successful Senior Software Engineer you will develop, build and improve the tooling to automate our platforms and services that reside in our multi-tenant, multi-datacenter, and multi-cloud infrastructure. You will deliver private and public cloud-based service offerings. You will build services to enable small teams the ability to operate infrastructures with diverse security, compliance, and customer requirements. Your platform services will support Acxiom developed services integration, automation, testing, deployments, and operations. You will write code to develop tools that support the full IT lifecycle. You will interact with users to define system requirements and/or vital modifications.

Your responsibilities

  • Produce quality code that is efficient, secure, supportable, and consistent

  • Write code to build services, tools, APIs, and application integrations

  • Possess a sound understanding of Acxiom functional and business objectives

  • Ensure that all capabilities delivered align with original business objectives

  • Collaborate with other engineers and architects

  • Operate the platforms and services you deliver

  • Provide sophisticated technical expertise, oversight, and accountability for outages

  • Closely partner with information security to ensure security compliance

Our requirements:

  • 6+ years software engineering experience
  • 3+ years JavaScript, Python, or Ruby development
  • 3+ years developing automation tools, RESTful web services, or APIs
  • 2+ years developing on public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Production Service Ownership
  • Strong English communication skills
