Job Title

Sr. Real Estate Portfolio Analyst

Job Description Summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a strategic, results-driven, and highly analytical Senior Analytics & Real Estate Strategy Analyst to support one or more of our most dynamic client accounts. This hybrid role seamlessly bridges advanced data analytics, corporate real estate strategy, and rigorous financial underwriting.
As a critical member of a high-performing account team, you will perform end-to-end data analysis, lead financial modeling, build interactive dashboards, and synthesize disjointed data into cohesive, executive-ready presentations. The ideal candidate possesses a rare blend of technical data prowess, financial acumen, and exceptional communication skills necessary to influence stakeholders and drive cross-functional business approvals for major real estate initiatives.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Strategic Financial Modeling & Portfolio Underwriting

  • Lead the development of detailed, dynamic financial models for real estate acquisitions, dispositions, developments, and portfolio optimization.
  • Evaluate complex real estate transactions, executing detailed lease analysis, sale-versus-buy analysis, and comprehensive risk-return assessments.
  • Conduct rigorous scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and stress testing to backstop critical real estate decisions and mitigate portfolio risk.
  • Utilize key real estate valuation metrics—including IRR, NOI, Cap Rates, and DSCR—to analyze performance and steer investment structures.
  • Support the client’s internal capital allocation, budgeting, and financial planning processes.

2. Advanced Data Analytics & Dashboard Architecture

  • Support a large volume of concurrent data analysis workstreams, ensuring high-level data modeling accuracy and quality.
  • Design, build, and maintain interactive business intelligence dashboards (preferably in Looker/Looker Studio, Power BI, or Tableau) to translate complex datasets into clear, actionable visuals.
  • Champion data integrity, data governance best practices, and self-service analytics across the account, documenting data sources and metrics systematically.
  • Leverage advanced analytical platforms (such as Alteryx, ESRI, SQL, or Python) to automate data gathering and process inputs from multiple cross-functional parties.

3. Executive Storytelling, Consensus Building & Project Management

  • Perform end-to-end business due diligence: define complex problems with stakeholders, explore data trends, develop tailored KPIs, and synthesize findings into concise narratives.
  • Organize quantitative and qualitative analysis into logical communications and high-end, client-ready presentation materials for executive-level approval.
  • Partner cross-functionally with transactional teams, asset management, development teams, and client stakeholders to align corporate real estate strategy with broader business objectives.
  • Track and report on key account deliverables, proactively managing multiple high-impact commitments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Serve as a strategic partner, stepping in to spearhead ad-hoc strategic projects as shifting client needs arise.

Education and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related business/technical field.
  • Experience: 5 to 8+ years of professional experience in corporate real estate strategy, finance, or equivalent analytical experience within an innovative, fast-paced environment.
  • Real Estate Acumen: Proven mastery of commercial real estate evaluation metrics, leasing dynamics, and capital planning.
  • Client-Facing History: Demonstrated background in a client-serving environment or working on highly dynamic, cross-functional teams is strongly preferred.

Technical & Core Competencies

  • Data & Analytics Stack: Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets is required. Proven experience using data analysis & visualization platforms like Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Alteryx, SQL, Python, or ESRI is strongly preferred.
  • Project & Time Management: A proven track record of proactively managing multiple commitments, tight timelines, and competing tasks simultaneously while maintaining rigorous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Communication & Influence: Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with a demonstrated commercial mindset and the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders at all levels.
