Job Summary:

Supermicro is looking for an entry-level mechanical engineer to join our product management team, supporting the mechanical design of in-house server chassis.  In this role, you will collaborate closely with the product engineering and management team to oversee the chassis development cycle, reviewing the mechanical design and mechanical placements to ensure the design is robust and efficient.

This position will be in our headquarters located in San Jose, CA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Mechanical design for DLC GPU system.
2. Mechanical check for DLC CDUs.
3. DLC parts design for rack level for every DLC system.
4. Negotiation and help parts tracking to venders.
5. To help DLC teams members design jigs to test DLC systems

Qualifications:

  • Experience of OCP mechanical server system design.
  • Experience of EIA mechanical server system design.
  • Understanding the structure of OCP / EIA racks.
  • Experience of tooling trial from chassis manufacturers.
  • 10 years’ experience of mechanical server system design.
  • He can finish designing server system independently for MP.
  • Experience from system manufacturers
  • Experience of DLC server systems.
  • Bachelor's or Master Degree preferably in mechanical engineering related;.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication (verbal and writing) skills
  • Show initiatives and has strong drive for customer satisfaction
  • Systematically & logically thinking and do support management
