Sr. Manager Network Engineering

Reporting to the CIO, the Sr. Manager Network Engineering will provide hands-on leadership to a group of Network Engineers who are responsible for the design and delivery of our multi-vendor network environment. You will lead a global team in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of high-end routers and switches in a multi-vendor environment. You will work closely with internal and external organizations on new installations; capacity upgrades; development of organizational standards; and advanced troubleshooting to ensure the continued growth and stability of our global platform.  You will also provide technical and functional leadership both within and outside the Network Engineering team, and participate in new product design and development.

Required Education and Experience:

The Sr. Manager Network Engineering  requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field and/or 10+ years’ experience.

Required Skills:

·       Minimum 10 years configuring BGP & OSPF in global corporations or large service provider organization including experience configuring route-maps, communities, extensive ACLs, and virtual routing instances

·       Minimum 10 years configuring routers and switches

·       Minimum 8 years in IP network design and ethernet technologies, including security and DDoS mitigation.

Desired Skills:

·       Solid background in leading multidisciplinary, high-performance teams/groups

·       Demonstrated track record of coaching and mentoring junior- and senior-level Network Engineers

·       Experience leading multiple technical initiatives, with experience in cross-functional environments

·       Demonstrated successful development and implementation of new technologies, processes, and procedures

·       Experience in effectively communicating with internal and external organizations and with facilitating conflict resolution

·       Understanding of end-to-end data flows and traffic patterns

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·       Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to tune capacity and improve performance across platforms

·       Experience with network automation and tools design/development

·       Shell scripting
