Title: APPS SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Additional Job Details: Senior Java Developer within a team focused on building the next generation of Equity Derivatives Trading applications. Successful applicants will be hands-on and delivery-focused and will help build and deliver Risk and Parameter applications that are integral to the Front Office.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: -Design and Build new applications following an agile development model. - Work closely with the business to capture requirements - Assist production support teams in the day-to-day running of the applications - 8 years+ in a hands-on development role in the financial services sector (IB/securities) - 8 years+ in Java server side Development - 5 yrs Experience with equity derivatives systems, esp. Risk Management, Parameters. - Strong Computer Science or Engineering background

Preferred technologies/Methodologies: - Computer Science or Engineering eqv degree - Team Leadership - Java / server side development, Strong Core Java fundamentals (Collections, Concurrency etc.) - Caching Technologies e.g. gemfire/coherence - Distributed Computing - SQL (eg Sybase) - BigData (MongoDB, Cassandra) experience a plus
